2,000 attendees from 25 countries, 100 renowned speakers from both industry and research, 13 panels and an exhibition that had been fully booked by 150 participants from the engineering, software and supplier industries - these facts and figures contributed to the positive outcome of the 53rd BetonTage held at the Edwin-Scharff-Haus in Neu-Ulm from 10 to 12 February 2009.
 
This year´s program was guided by the motto "Building the Future". The event provided insights into most recent research findings while also covering the transfer of innovative developments related to building materials, processes techniques and construction methods to day-to-day practice. In addition, the congress outlined future prospects and visions regarding concrete and its applications. The technical part of the program was complemented and enriched by panels concentrating on economic and legal aspects.
 
The 54th BetonTage will again be held in Neu-Ulm from 9 to 11 February 2010.
